The Archaeological Museum of the Larnaca district has reopened following extensive renovations and offers a modern take on old treasures, including an impressive collection of rare sarcophagi.
An on-site meeting took place in early December between the Minister of Transport Communications and Works, the Director of the Department of Antiquities, and Larnaca authority heads: Larnaca Mayor, Andreas Vyras; Chairman of Larnaca Tourism Board, Dinos Lefkaritis, and President of the Larnaca Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Stavros Stavrou at the Larnaca District Archaeological Museum to view the status of renovations at the museum following intense criticism by Larnaca authorities and bodies regarding the protracted delays in its reopening.
The Department of Antiquities, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announced the opening, on October 31, of an art exhibition by Dimitris Alithinos titled ‘Hysteron, Proteron, Us’ at the Archaeological Museum of the Limassol District.
