Alitalia Opens Rome – Larnaca Route

ITALY AND CYPRUS WILL SOON BE CONNECTED AS ALITALIA PLANS TO LAUNCH NEW DIRECT FLIGHTS LINKING ROME AND LARNACA FROM JUNE 08.

The twice-weekly services from the European capital’s Fiumicino airport are expected to further develop trade and tourism between the countries, as the Mediterranean destination is one of Cyprus’ main trading partners.

According to figures by the Italian Statistics Institute Istat, Italian exports stood at EUR263 million and imports at EUR32 million in 2015.

The flights will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft featuring two classes, business and economy, where as Alitalia’s MilleMiglia loyalty programme members will be able to earn and redeem miles on the new route.
