A significant recognition has been added to the accolades of Larnaka International Airport. Larnaka Airport which is managed and operated by Hermes Airports was ‘Highly Commended’ in the ‘Best Airports in Europe’ Awards (five to 10 million passengers category) during the 35th Annual Congress and General Assembly of ACI Europe (Airports Council International Europe), which took place in Athens, on June 19 of this year.

The foundation stone for Phase II development works of Larnaca and Paphos airports was laid on June 05, marking the official launch of the project that, upon completion, will take Cyprus’ airports into the future.

Hermes Airports on March 21 announced that it has completed the financing process for Phase 2 works, with the signing of all agreements with the banks which are financing the project.

September ended on a positive note regarding passenger traffic at Larnaca and Paphos Airports.

The new 3.5 MWp Solar Park at Larnaka International Airport was inaugurated on July 19, during a special ceremony held in the presence of the minister of transport, Alexis Vafeadis and the chairman of Hermes Airports’ board of directors, Christophe Petit.

Responding to the expectations and the increasing demands of the traveling public, Hermes Airports has proceeded with the upgrade and expansion of the parking area at Paphos Airport.

The Cyprus Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announced the completion of the receipt and installation of 80 Border Xpress Kiosks at the Larnaca and Paphos airports.

Larnaca and Paphos Airports have been accredited with the Airport Health Accreditation by the Airports Council International (ACI) World.
