Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EVE)  recently sent a proposal to Ionas Nicolaou, minister, justice and public order, Cyprus, asking for immediate preventative measures to avoid overcrowding and reduce congestion at Pafos International Airport for the upcoming summer season.

The request highlighted the demand for the seamless flow of passengers to airport checkpoints is expected to be especially high this year due to Paphos’ status as the European Capital of Culture.

Responding to EVE’s request, Andreas Mylonas, director general, ministry of justice and public order, Cyprus, reassured the organisation that the ministry will increase its efforts towards supporting the quick and smooth flow of passengers by establishing faster check-point machines and by increasing the airport’s staff during the peak months.
