Second Phase of Sculpting Symposium Concluded Successfully

The second phase of the fifth Sculpting Symposium of Ayia Napa Municipality concluded with the delivery of the last projects by two remaining artists on April 28.

The 14 artists who participated in the Symposium offered 22 works of art to be included in Ayia Napa’s Sculpting Park.

Yiannis Karousos, mayor, Ayia Napa, welcomed the fact that another Symposium reached its end, leaving 22 works of great artistic value in its course.

"The five Symposiums is a great artistic event for our municipality and for the wider area of Famagusta District, the result of which is the creation of a unique Outdoor Museum of Sculpture, a work with cultural and global recognition, which both our citizens and visitors enjoy,” commented Karousos.

The 14 artists were, Glebos Tkachenko, Russia; Viktor Rassadkin, Russia; Esmaeil Rezayei, Iran; Sihua Qian, China; Ζhao Li, China; Saeid Ahmadi, Iran; Malin Malinov, Bulgaria; Iurie Platon, Moldova; Νikolay Karlykhanov, Russia; Olga Sagakon, Russia; Viktor Sushkevichs, Latvia; and Serhii Sbitniev, Ukraine.
