In an effort to become known as more than just a sun and beach destination, the authority managed to enhance other tourism sectors in the city and has boosted alternative segments including sports tourism, gastronomy and religious tourism, thus increasing the range of attractions for winter visitors .

With the city gearing up to welcome a high number of visitors this winter, Pafos Regional Board of Tourism has invited all tourism businesses including hoteliers, travel agents and owners of leisure centres to invest into turning the coastal city into an all year-round destination.
