Limassol Students Clean Up Roads

Around 1,000 students from 19 primary schools in Limassol took part in a hiking and cycling road clean-up campaign organised by Limassol Tourism Board for the period May 21 – 25.

More specifically, the campaign aims to promote viable urban mobility in a cleaner environment, accessible to the wider public.

The campaign's milestones are designated pedestrianised walkways, cycle paths, parks and tourist spots.

The effort contributed to the development of less environmentally-friendly behaviours and the familiarisation of children with hiking and cycling opportunities that they can use.

Limassol Tourism Board’s goal is to establish and promote the adoption of primary school areas for the development and cultivation of students' environmental awareness and the promotion of health-related activities.

Schools across Limassol region participate in the campaign hoping to improve and familiarise with the environment.
