In February, the total inbound figure for the island reached 65,988 visitors, soaring 30.1 percent compared to the same month of 2015, with Russia alone accounting for 7,358 arrivals, up 101.1 percent year-on-year.

In addition to the renewed interest from Russia, uplifts of 28 percent and 16.6 percent were reported in volumes from the UK and Greece, respectively.
