DP World Limassol and the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) signed a cooperation agreement on January 23 during a special ceremony held at the University premises in Limassol.

DP World Limassol had one of its best years since taking over as operator in 2017. The company recorded an impressive performance in 2022, with Limassol port’s cruise business and cargo volumes growing significantly compared with 2021.

The war in Ukraine has led to a boom in tourism to eastern European sea ports as cruise ships find alternative destinations rather than visiting Russian ports. 

New research has revealed the most Instagrammable European marinas for Winter sun, with the Porto Montenegro marina taking the top spot in the rankings. 

Following a significant 45 percent fall in the number of passengers embarking and disembarking in EU ports in 2020 (compared with 2019), 2021 was more positive, with data showing a partial recovery. 

October was the busiest cruise month of the year for DP World Limassol, as 29 cruise ships carrying over 46,000 people, berthed at the port and used its passenger terminal.
