The event, which welcomed more than 2000 runners from all over the world, incorporated four different distances; the marathon, half marathon, 10km and a five kilometre fun run.
Stavros Kakourides, race director, Logicom Cyprus Marathon, commented, “The marathon started from Petra Tou Romiou, known as Aphrodite’s birthplace, and finished along the Paphos seafront to the castle square.”
This year’s event was dedicated to the memory of the Paphian marathon runner Stelios Kyriakides.
The race was officially recognised by the International Marathons and Distance Races who accurately measured the course.
