Children Share Design Ideas for New Ayia Napa Library

Yannis Karousos, mayor, Ayia Napa, visited Ayia Napa - Antonis Tsokkos Primary School to see the children’s recent project ideas on potential library designs for their city.

Sharing their project ideas, children in E2 class said they would like their future library to include many halls, magic boxes containing stations with various activities and equipped with multimedia such as computers, screens, televisions, electronic games and music speakers.

Additionally, the children envisioned the library’s walls decorated with books and the books themselves to be sorted via computer-scanning for efficiency.

Karousos informed the children that the library will be located on a new floor above the Municipal Museum Thalassa. Architects are already preparing designs and some of the suggestions the children shared are said to be taken into account.
