Kornelios Korneliou, permanent representative to the United Nations (UN), Cyprus was recently honoured by the President of the UN General Assembly.

On the initiative of Cyprus, a resolution on Cultural Rights and the Protection of Cultural Heritage has been unanimously adopted by the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland.

On March 23, Kornelios Korneliou, permanent representative of Cyprus to the United Nations (UN), addressed the launch of a high-level event, titled, International Decade for Action, Water for Sustainable Development 2018 – 2028 which took place at the UN.

During a meeting dedicated on the protection of endangered cultural heritage, Kornelios Korneliou, ambassador to United Nations (UN) invited all UN member states to support Cyprus initiative to create a group of friends on the protection of cultural heritage.
