Cyprus’ increasing hotel and resort portfolio is expected to grow by 1,634 rooms this year, with seven new luxury hotels due to open across the idyllic Mediterranean island before the end of year.

Savvas Savvas Perdios, deputy ministry of tourism, Cyprus is among the founding members of the International Sports and Tourism Organization for Peace & Prosperity.

The newly appointed deputy minister of tourism, Savvas Perdios, was welcomed by Lawrence Ho, CEO, Melco Group, to Cyprus Casinos ‘C2’ Nicosia where they exchanged views on the deputy minister’s new strategy for tourism and Melco’s main objectives and goals for the City of Dreams Mediterranean Integrated Casino Resort (ICR) as well as the Cyprus Casinos properties.

Savvas Perdios has been appointed as the first deputy minister for tourism for Cyprus. Perdios’s appointment was announced by Nicos Anastasiades, president, Republic of Cyprus on December 27.
