In order to continue the strengthening of the Cyprus domestic tourism for the benefit of the public, entrepreneurs and those employed in the tourism industry, the council of ministers decided to extend the ‘Extraordinary Plan for the Promotion of Domestic Tourism’, until March 31, 2021.
Based on the decision, tourist accommodations (hotels, organised apartments, tourist villages, agritourism accommodations) can participate in the plan, which can offer a maximum price of EUR60 (including VAT) for a double room, with breakfast, per day, with a minimum stay of the two nights.
The decision also provides for the coverage of 35 percent of the accommodation costs by the state department.
