Yiannis Yiannaki Took Part in Dialogue on ‘Restoring the 21st Century’

The commissioner for volunteerism and non-governmental organisations, Yiannis Yiannaki, after the invitation of the United Nations Volunteer Programme, took part in the online dialogue on ‘Restoring the 21st Century: Human Development, Volunteering and the New Social Contract’ that was held on March 23.

The dialogue was co-hosted by the United Nations Volunteer Programme and the Office of Human Development Reports.

The aim of the dialogue was to pave a new path for development where people and the planet prosper, are active and work together. What could be the role of volunteering in the development of a new social contract between people and states that ensures human development for all while protecting the environment?

Participating in this online dialogue will enable us to take part in important discussions of how and why we can design a new social contract between people, volunteerism and states for a greener, fairer world after the pandemic era.
