The news came days before the announcement of the airline’s winter schedule, which includes flights from its base in Larnaca, Cyprus, to Greece, the UK and Romania.
Racaru worked in the airline sector for 48 years during which he was also CEO of Tarom. He was responsible for Blue Air since its establishment on December 13, 2004 until 2009 and then again from 2014 when Blue Air was restructured by new investors.
“Leading this wonderful company was my identity and passion for many years. It was a real advantage to guide the truly talented team of employees we have in Cyprus, Romania, Italy and the UK. I am looking back with a lot of pride on the Blue Air family and all its achievements,” Racaru said.
