“These results confirm Cyprus Airways’ steady improvement. During the third quarter (Q3) we carried a total of 127,246 passengers and operated over 900 flights, with an average SLF of 79 percent. We clearly see that the market continues to steadily recover and at this rate we expect that next year we will reach and surpass our 2019 pre-Covid figures. During Q3 our most popular routes were to/from Athens, Beirut, Tel-Aviv and Yerevan and we have also registered a steady and healthy increase in average fares. This augurs well for further investments in our network and aircraft”, said Paul Sies, CEO, Cyprus Airways.
Sies added that they have already added aircraft worth over EUR50 million this year, and now are in a position to add two Airbus A320 aircraft to their fleet. The airline has also recently announced their intend to operate their summer 2023 schedule, which include 11 destinations with at least 43 weekly scheduled flights which are already on sale though their worldwide reservations systems.
