These next-generation aircraft, specially configured to meet AnimaWings’ specifications, are already operating primarily on the airline’s regular domestic and international routes.
Each aircraft features 137 seats, including 12 reclining business class seats, a significantly wider seat pitch than comparable models, and a five-abreast economy layout. Passengers also benefit from wider aisles and large panoramic windows, ensuring enhanced onboard comfort.
Earlier this year, AnimaWings also welcomed a larger-capacity Airbus A320, offering 180 passenger seats, which is primarily used for charter flights to popular holiday destinations such as Egypt, Tunisia, Greece, Turkey, Spain, and Portugal. Another A320 aircraft is scheduled to join the fleet by mid-April of this year, just in time for the peak charter season starting May 01, when operations to most vacation destinations commence.
Looking ahead to this summer, the airline is set to receive its next Airbus A220-300, which will also serve mainly scheduled routes, as well as select flights under the ‘Premium Charter’ programme — a product developed in partnership with Christian Tour, part of the same group as AnimaWings.
In the fourth quarter of this year, the fleet will expand further with two additional Airbus A220-300 aircraft, in response to rising demand.
Domestic routes are also showing positive momentum, with a weekly upward trend in load factors, especially in Moldova. As a result, AnimaWings is considering expanding the Bucharest–Iași route by adding additional frequencies.
Strong demand is also coming from Western Romania. Starting this summer, one of the A320 aircraft will be based in Timișoara, operating split charter flights to destinations in Greece, Turkey, Spain, Tunisia, and Egypt. The company also plans to launch a series of regular routes from Timișoara in the upcoming winter season, offering connections to Bucharest and direct international destinations.
For leisure-oriented routes during the summer season, the airline is seeing significant growth in early ticket purchases, especially for peak periods. Destinations such as Ibiza and Nice are among the most sought after.
AnimaWings currently operates scheduled flights to: Paris, Stockholm, Larnaca, Nice, Ibiza, Dublin, Tel Aviv, Cluj, Iași, Oradea, Dubai, and Marrakesh.
For split-charter and seasonal flights, the airline covers routes such as: Corfu (from Bucharest & Timișoara), Crete – Heraklion (from Brașov, Bucharest, Cluj, Oradea), Zakynthos (from Bucharest, Cluj, Timișoara), Kefalonia (from Bucharest), Rhodes (from Bucharest, Timișoara), Faro (from Bucharest), Palma de Mallorca (from Bucharest & Timișoara), Tenerife (from Bucharest).
Looking ahead to the 2025–2026 winter season, AnimaWings plans to introduce several new routes, including: Bucharest – Timișoara, Timișoara – Dubai, Iași – Dubai, Timișoara – Istanbul, and Craiova – Istanbul.
