With the mission of supporting philanthropic activities primarily in the places where he lived, including the UK, Greece, Cyprus and Monaco, Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder, Stelios Philanthropic Foundation recently congratulated seven London School of Economics’ (LSE) graduates who achieved either a first class or upper second class degree at the end of their three-year academic course.
Haji-Ioannou channels his wealth through his philanthropic foundation, by funding several projects including scholarships to the LSE and City University and annual donations to the Red Cross and World Wildlife Fund.
Other charitable projects include food donations in Greece and projects to reconcile differences between Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots in the country of his birth.
