To mark the occasion, a conference was also held with the highlights including a keynote speech entitled Nicosia: the Gothic Capital of Cyprus and two panel discussions on the history of the city.
Additionally, a tour of the destination was offered as well as a guided walk around the village of Fikardo, an UNESCO protected settlement that has retained its traditional medieval characteristics.
Participants also had the chance to attend Medieval Tastes, a gala dinner feast showcasing a selection of dishes from days gone by.
