In 2023, there were 6.3 million commercial flights in the EU. The number of flights remained below pre-pandemic levels in 2019 (7.0 million). 

The best performing month for this year, so far, was June, with Cyprus’ total passenger traffic surpassing one million passengers (Larnaca Airport: 650,519 – Paphos Airport: 358,550), and the average aircraft load factor reaching 87 percent (87 percent arriving and 86.2 percent departing).

As of June 09, connectively of Cyprus with other countries will be resorted with the opening of the airports and start of flights to 19 countries.
