Themed How I care for my community for local and foreign visitors’, the workshop welcomed representatives of community councils based in the island’s mountainous regions.

Kyriakos Kyriakou, tourism officer, quality assurance department, CTO, welcomed the attendees and highlighted that with the high numbers of visitors expected this summer, attempts to upgrade the infrastructure of the mountainous area should be made. 

In addition, Michael Demosthenous, managing director, Elpis Tourism & Hospitality Seminars, stressed the importance of the sector while also advising attendees how to improve the image of their communities.
