Famagusta Region Promoted at ITB Berlin

Yannis Karousos, mayor, Ayia Napa, and Theodoros Pyrillis, mayor, Paralimni, lead a delegation representing Famagusta district at this year’s ITB Berlin travel trade show.

Following their attendance, both mayors announced that they formed connections with global industry stakeholders, also highlighting how their respective region has adapted to global trends and innovations. In the framework of the exhibition, which took place between March 07 – March 11, the two mayors held a series of meetings with travel agents, airline representatives, German tourism media and other travel industry stakeholders.

The Famagusta region had its own stand at the tourism fair that aimed to enhance the destination by raising international awareness, promoting areas such as Kokkinochoria, or red villages, and white sandy Blue Flag beaches with their crystal clear waters.
