More specifically, it is estimated that this year, around 940,000 passengers are expected to travel with Ryanair flights to and from Paphos, thus contributing significantly to the further increase in passenger traffic at Pafos Airport, during both the summer winter periods.
Ryanair has already announced 12 new routes to Amman (twice weekly), Bournemouth (twice weekly), Bratislava (twice weekly), Bucharest (twice weekly), Budapest (twice weekly), Chania (twice weekly), Dublin (once weekly), Kaunas (once weekly), Krakow (twice weekly), Liverpool (twice weekly) and Riga (twice weekly).
Maria Kouroupi, senior manager, aviation development, marketing and communication, Hermes Airports, noted that the increase and enrichment of Ryanair's routes in Paphos has a dual meaning. On the one hand, she said, it confirms the trust of the Irish carrier to the tourist product of Cyprus whilst on the other, it contributes in a catalytical way to the further increase of the passenger traffic at Pafos Airport.
