Petros Aggelides, mayor, Serres, welcomed Karousos and the two exchanged views on issues of common interest while examining the prospects of further tightening relations between the two cities.

Besides the official meeting with Aggelides, Municipality’s representatives have so far also visited the Holy Monastery of Timios Prodromos of Serres, the area of Agios Ioannis, Lake Kerkini and the Rupel Fortress.

Karousos visited DIPETHE theatre to attend the opening of the University Theatre Forum and on May 20 he attended the twinning ceremony between Serres Municipality and Municipality of Nis Serbia which took place at the city's Command Centre.
