Cyprus Tourism Organisation Board of Directors has discussed the data with Cyprus Hotels Association, Association of Cyprus Tourist Enterprises and Association of Cyprus Travel Agents. Their May 29 meeting analysed booking developments and the wider prospects of this year's tourist season.
Although the bookings from Russia seem to have been affected by the fall of the Russian ruble, the large-scale market opening in Turkey and the fall in the Turkish lira, the relative decline is expected to be reduced and absorbed by other dynamically emerging and promising markets including Germany, Israel, Poland, Sweden, Ireland and the UK.
