Cyprus’ Foreign Minister Attends Gymnich

Nikos Christodoulides, minister, foreign affairs, Cyprus, travelled to Austria to participate in Gymnich, the Informal Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the European Union (EU), which was held in Vienna from August 30 to 31.

During the meeting’s proceedings, the foreign ministers had the opportunity to exchange views on a range of issues related to the EU's external relations. More specifically, on the first day of the event, the latest developments in the greater Middle East and the Transatlantic Relations were discussed.

On August 31 the Ministers were due to discuss Western Balkans, while in the last session, which will take place with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of the candidate countries for EU accession, issues of effective multilateralism are to be examined.
