Andrianis, speaking at the Digi.travel Cyprus International 2019 conference in Nicosia, said that the increase in searches for Cyprus was 60 percent and was the seventh largest in Europe, with holiday makers searching for Cyprus was by 84 percent inbound travellers.
An average of 70 percent of searches come from 10 countries, with the UK, Russia, Germany and Israel being at the top of the list, which is also reflected by the islands arrivals, with 81 percent of tourists in Cyprus coming from these countries.
Based on a survey by Google, the perception of Cyprus as a tourist destination has to do with 47 percent with its nice beaches, 35 percent with culture and with 34 percent with its friendly people.
