Cyprus Revenue from Tourism for January Shows Increase

On the basis of the results of the Cyprus Passenger Survey, revenue from tourism reached EUR40,2 million in January compared to EUR39,6 million in the corresponding month of 2019, recording an increase of 1,5 percent.

The expenditure per person for January reached EUR469,98 compared to EUR483,26 in the corresponding month of 2019, recording a decrease of 2,7percent.
The expenditure per person/per day for January ompared to January 2019 recorded an increase of three percent (from EUR54,30 to EUR55,95).

A decrease of 5,6 percent was also recorded in the average length of stay, from 8,9 days in January 2019 to 8,4 days in January 2020.
