The consent authorises additional upgrades to the existing planning and construction works are expected to begin soon.

The positive step was the subject of discussion in a meeting between Yiannis Karousos, mayor, Ayia Napa, and representatives of Μ.Μ. Makronisos Marina, the investment company leading the venture.

“Along with other projects that we are promoting, we are confident that the marina will give a huge boost to the region and the municipality of Ayia Napa, as it will have a positive multiplier impact on the local economy, strengthening businesses and creating new job opportunities,” commented Karousos.

The marina’s launch is now very near, noted Stavros Caramondanis, CEO, Μ.Μ. Makronisos Marina, adding that the development is a testament to the hard work and meticulous planning as well as to the excellent cooperation between the private and public sectors.
