The title is awarded to a different European city each year with the aim to implement exciting projects which will empower young people at a city level.

The key focus of the EYC project is how municipalities can better involve young people in the cultural, social, political and economic life of the city.

The theme chosen by Ayia Napa Municipality is Thrive: Tourism Youth Innovation Europe.

The winning city will be announced in November.
