The purpose of the event was to discuss the prospects of the tourism industry on the island with significant emphasis been given on the strategic plan for tourism development, which aims to upgrade the tourism sector and its offerings.

Lozides expressed his gratitude to Humeniuk for visiting the island and his satisfaction for the high number of Ukrainian tourists that visited Cyprus in 2016, more than 60,000, a number that has increased fivefold in the last five years. 

Delegates also discussed the prospects of cooperation between the two countries.
