This solution, according to Yiannis Karousos, mayor, Ayia Napa, is the municipality’s first step into the digital era.

In addition, Karousos pointed out that the application will save a tremendous amount of human resources from time-consuming and unproductive procedures while also reducing the expenditure of consumables such as paper and ink.

The municipality aims function fully through the e-government system and will soon launch e-katoikos, a program allowing its residents to be fully updated about the city’s events and happenings electronically.
