A total number of 41,399 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in February of this year, compared to 8,918 in the corresponding month in 2021, recording an increase of 364,2 percent and a decrease of 65,9 percent compared to February 2020.

The arrivals of tourists to Cyprus reached 71,921 in February of this year compared to 5,047 in February 2021, and to 105,592 tourist arrivals in February 2020.

On the basis of the results of the Cyprus Passenger Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism reached EUR54,0 million in December 2021 compared to EUR9,1 million in December 2020, and EUR54,6 million in December 2019. 

On the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, Cyprus’ revenue from tourism reached EUR104,2 million in November 2021 compared to EUR6,6 million in November 2020 and EUR95,0 million in November 2019. 

On January 01,  2021, the median  age of the EU’s  population hit 44.1 years, 0.2 years more than in 2020. It increased by 2.5 years (on average by 0.25 years per annum) from 41.6 years in 2011. This means that half of the EU’s population was older than 44.1 years, while the other half was younger. 

The contract for the provision of services for the development of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SVAK) for the wider urban area of ​​the free Province of Famagusta (consultancy services for the development of a sustainable urban mobility) was signed on February 10, at Ayia Napa City Hall (SUMP) for the greater urban area of ​​the Famagusta District.
