George Pouros, director, Eurogate Container Terminal Limassol, gave Pilides a tour of the facility before briefing her on what had been achieved in the year and a half since Eurogate undertook the terminal’s management. He emphasised the improvements in service speed and productivity as well as the reduction in the waiting period for the delivery of containers which, according to Pouros, had dropped to 14 minutes.
The deputy minister was also informed of Eurogate’s medium and long-term plans to showcase Limassol Port as a modern transit station capable of serving 1.1 million containers per year.
