He added that the initiatives integrated in the overall development strategy will be completed by 2020 and are aimed at making Nicosia more sustainable and attractive.

These include the construction of bus and bicycle lanes, one-way systems and pedestrianised streets, as well as the introduction of minibuses serving the old town.
