Tofini Tsantila, cultural officer, municipality, Ayia Napa, expressed her gratitude towards the regular visitors while handing out the awards, noting their recurring visits as essential in the promotion of of the region as a tourist destination. Commenting at the ceremony, Tsantila told the special guests that Ayia Napa views them as citizens, not tourists, saying, “you belong now to the great family of Ayia Napa."
