Cyprus’ Arrivals Soared 10.1 Percent in July

According to Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO), 531,000 tourists visited the country in July, a year-on-year surge of 10.1 percent, marking the highest volume of arrivals ever recorded during the specific month.

During the month, the number of travellers from the UK jumped six percent, while holidaymakers from Sweden, Germany and Israel also registered growth, up 17.3 percent, 69.5 percent and 82. 6 percent, respectively. Contrary to this, a 3.6 percent drop in Russian visitors was recorded.

In terms of arrivals in the first seven months of this year, a 14.8 percent boost was observed, with the total reaching 1,994,236, another historic record for the period January – July.
