Cyprus Revenue from Tourism for May Announced

Based on the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism reached EUR355,2 million this in May, recording a decrease of 4,8 percent compared to the corresponding month of the previous year (EUR373,3 million).

For the period of January – May of the current year, revenue from tourism is estimated at EUR798,2 million compared to EUR955,8 million in the corresponding period of 2025, recording a decrease of 16,5 percent.

Expenditure Analysis

The average expenditure per person was EUR779,42 this May, remaining at the same level as in May 2025 (EUR779,08). Tourists from the UK (the largest tourist market with 36,3 percent of the total tourists in May this year) spent on average EUR102,23 per day, while tourists from Israel (the second largest market during the specific month with 11,8 percent of the total tourists) spent on average EUR178,18.

Tourists from Poland (the third largest market with 8,2 percent) spent on average EUR85,41 per day.
