Tourist Arrivals and Returns of Residents of Cyprus from Trips Abroad for July Announced

Tourist Arrivals

Cyprus arrivals of tourists reached 582.754 in July of this year compared to 589.116 in July 2025, recording a decrease of 1,1 percent.

For the period of January – July of the current year, arrivals of tourists totalled 2.238.769 compared to 2.432.129 in the corresponding period of 2025, recording a decrease of 8 percent.

Arrivals from the UK were the main source of tourism for this July, with a share of 31,9 percent (185.981) of total arrivals, followed by Israel with 20,5 percent (119.293), Poland with 6,3 percent (36.912), Germany with 3,7 percent (21.338) and Sweden with 3,4 percent (19.899).

This July, 85,2 percent of tourists travelled for holidays, 11,7 percent visited friends and relatives and 3 percent travelled for business purposes. Respectively, in July 2025, 85,5 percent of tourists visited Cyprus for holidays, 11,6 percent visited friends or relatives and 2,8 percent visited Cyprus for business purposes.

Returns of Residents of Cyprus

A total of 210.047 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad this July compared to 186.987 in the corresponding month in 2025, recording an increase of 12,3 percent.

The main countries from which residents of Cyprus returned in July were Greece with a share of 38,5 percent (80.775), the UK with 7,1 percent (14.832), Italy with 6 percent (12.545), Poland with 3,5 percent (7.412) and Germany with 3,5 percent (7.330).

The purpose of travel for the residents of Cyprus this July was mainly holidays, with a percentage of 75,2 percent, whilst business reasons held a percentage of 13,7 percent, studies 10,3 percent and other reasons 0,7 percent.
