With a whopping 162 percent increase on average in car hire searches across Europe for the upcoming summer compared to pre-pandemic levels, road travel is set to boom this year.

The 9th Ministerial Conference of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) on the ‘Environment for Europe' titled: “Circular Economy, Sustainable Tourism and Education for Sustainable Development” will take place October, 05-07, in Nicosia at the “FILOXENIA” International Conference Center while parallel sessions will be organised at the Cyprus Institute.

The Cyprus arrivals of tourists reached 315,018 in May of this year compared to 100,852 arrivals that were recorded in May 2021.
