The objective, through the purple lighting of the medieval castles of Pafos, Lemesos, Larnaka and the Cyprus Museum in Nicosia, is to raise awareness on the problems involving premature birth, and the need to establish an Intensive Care Unit for newborns.

The participation in this endeavour to raise public awareness is associated with the vision and mission of the department for social cohesion, based on the principles and values of culture, in order to address problems and contribute to the development of modern civilisation.
