The event was attended by 600 exhibitors presenting the latest technology breakthroughs that are implemented in smart cities, including innovations and applications that make life easier for citizens and take energy and the environment seriously. Visitors exceeded 17,000, including mayors, representatives of government services from around the world.

Yiannis Karousos, mayor, Ayia Napa, stressed that the municipality's aim is to turn the Ayia Napa into a smart city.
