Nicos Anastasiades, president, Cyprus, awarded Andreas Papacharalampous, mayor, Strovolos, with the distinction.

As part of the ‘Green City and Green Community of Cyprus’ competition, Strovolos Municipality is now a member of the Network of Green Cities and Communities of Cyprus.

The award acknowledges the municipality’s efforts to become a ‘Green City’ after adopting a series of initiatives and actions to create an environmental culture on local level where everyone can contribute, act and create a sustainable future.
