On June 22, an event entitled Clarinet Meets Percussion was performed by Lyrical Noise at Thalassa Municipal Museum.

Lyrical Noise is made up of Giorgos Georgiou on the clarinet and Marios Nicholaou on percussion. They performed works by Reich, Gerossimez, Xenaki, Pettigrew, Boucourechliev, Olsan, Christofi, Capurso and others.

The event was part of the Living Museums programme which is part of the Interfaces project overseen by European University Cyprus.

Earlier musical events in Ayia Napa have recently included performances by Mikroi Rembetes and the Rythmos dance troupe and a World Music Day event on June 21 dedicated to Argentinean music by Georgiou and guitarist Socrates Socratous.
