Rafti and Zerbo agreed to continue and enhance the already good cooperation between the Republic of Cyprus and the organisation. In addition, Rafti briefed Zerbo on the latest developments with regard to the Cyprus issue.

Zerbo mentioned his appreciation of the meetings that he had in Cyprus on May 18 with Nicos Anastasiades, president, Cyprus; Demetris Syllouris, president, House of Representatives, Cyprus and Minas Hadjimichael, permanent secretary, minister, foreign affairs, Cyprus, praising Cyprus’ willingness for active participation in the CTBTO.

Rafti assured Zerbo of the Republic of Cyprus’ support to efforts to promote the entry into force of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty.
