Cypriot Composer and Soloist Performs in Argentina

Notis Georgiou, composer and soloist, Cyprus, recently held a concert with the Argentinean National Congress Chamber Orchestra in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The August 27 event was supported by the Embassy of Cyprus in Brazil and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The highly appraised Cypriot conductor presented music from Cyprus, Greece, Austria and Argentina.

Sebastiano De Filippi, musical director, Argentine National Congress Chamber Orchestra, had invited Georgiou to present his work, offering a unique opportunity for the promotion of Cypriot culture in Argentina.

Georgiou is a well-known Cypriot conductor, composer and soloist with a rich international career, especially in Hungary where he has been awarded with numerous artistic awards.

The renowned Argentine National Congress Chamber Orchestra was created in 1990 and operates under the aegis of the two legislative bodies of the country.
