As spring starts, trade of flower bulbs blossoms. Warmer temperatures and longer days bring renewed interest from florists, retailers and consumers, fuelling the export market. 

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and First Lady Philippa Karsera-Christodoulides on March 04 hosted at the Presidential Palace, a state banquet in honour of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Kingdom of the Netherlands who paid a state visit, for the first time since the establishment of the Republic of Cyprus.

In 2024, 93 percent of people aged 16-74 in the EU reported that they had used the internet during the previous three months. Internet use has grown consistently in the EU, with the share of users increasing by seven percentage points (pp), up from 86 percent in 2019.

Cyprus’ number of job vacancies in the third quarter of 2024 reached 16.010, recording an increase of 3.736 vacancies (30,4 percent) compared to the same quarter of the 2023 where the number was 12.274.

In the second quarter of this year, the job vacancy rate was 2.6 percent in the euro area, down from 2.9 percent in year’s first quarter and down from 3.1 percent in the second quarter of 2023, according to figures published by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
