The Cyprus Shipping Chamber (CSC) following all the required safety measures and within the framework of its long-standing socio-economic and charitable contribution to the Cyprus society, organised its 55th Blood Donation Drive, on June 01, at Agios Georgios Havouzas Church Hall, in Limassol, with the participation of the employees of its Shipping Chamber’s Member-companies.

Cyprus won first place in Europe, in recognition of its clean, excellent quality waters.The blue flag was awarded to 68 beaches and one marina.

On the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey carried out by the Cyprus Statistical Service, revenue from tourism in March of this year reached EUR8 million compared to EUR25,6 million in the corresponding month of 2020, recording a decrease of 68,8 percent, as well as a decrease of 91,7 percent compared to March 2019 (EUR96,6 million).

The Department of Antiquities, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works participated on May 21 in the Huntington Disease Awareness Month, by lighting the castles of Paphos and Larnaca in blue and purple, as well as the Cyprus Museum in Nicosia.

On April 01, the government presented a grand project including over 300 actions to revitalise the mountain communities.
