On the basis of the results of the Cyprus Passengers Survey, arrivals of tourists reached 85,622 in January compared to 81,970 in January 2019, recording an increase of 4,5 percent.

As announced by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism in early 2019, its aim is to develop a new brand name to promote Cyprus's tourism product.

In a simple ceremony held at the Presidential Palace on, January 22, the Savvas Perdios, deputy minister of tourism, Cyprus presented the National Tourism Strategy 2030 to foreign ambassadors in Cyprus, to high-ranking officials of key tourism players and other Cypriot tourists.

On the basis of the results of the Cyprus Passengers Survey, arrivals of tourists reached 110,330 in December 2019 compared to 106,563 in December 2018, recording an increase of 3,5 percent.

Savvas Perdios, deputy minister of tourism, Cyprus, recently tabled the national tourism strategy for the next decade. He emphasised that the country’s goal is to be included in the top 30 world tourism ranking, a list of countries compiled by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) by 2030.

On the basis of the results of the Cyprus Passengers Survey, arrivals of tourists reached 524,707 in September compared to 520,138 in September 2018, recording an increase of 0,9 percent.

The Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Tourism, as part of its efforts to upgrade the quality of tourism services, authentic hospitality and professionalism in the tourism industry, has placed under the auspices of the Cyprus Hospitality Agency's annual best practices award.

Savvas Perdios, tourism deputy minister, Deputy Ministry of Tourism, noted that he expects to be informed in September about an increase in flights to Cyprus and about the outcome of efforts to attract tourism from Germany, as reported by Cyprus News Agency.

On the basis of the results of the Cyprus Passengers Survey, arrivals of tourists reached 550,971 in July compared to 539,626 in July 2018, recording an increase of 2,1 percent.

Savvas Perdios, deputy minister for tourism, Cyprus, said that this year is a difficult year for tourism, but emphasised that there is no need for panic.
